Frankford Subway

Philadelphia, PA

The Frankford Elevated Railroad System is one of the oldest inner city rail systems in America. This project created new rail stations in the place of the early structures and was complicated by having to maintain an operating system during construction. The materials used are virtually indestructible to accommodate the “kit of parts” being used at various stations locations.  The stations are an example of an understanding of materials for implementation and the test of time.
