After 25 years, the Oakland Museum rooftop terraces required renovation, in part to resolve water penetration issues. The team developed a phased master plan which addressed waterproofi ng for rooftop planters, pedestrian walks, planting, irrigation, drainage, and additional lighting. In Phase I, the master plan analyzed existing conditions and possible solutions. Phase II defi ned work execution. Future phasing and construction budgets were also coordinated with the City’s proposed funding.
