This is a case study for a reimagination of an existing rear cottage to become a modern ADU (accessory dwelling unit) .

We approached the property as a case study to provide an excellent opportunity to integrate beautifully designed ADU's while retrofitting the residence with a necessary seismic upgrade. By retaining the historic envelopes of both the main residence and the accessory cottage, the cultural aesthetic remains while the interior evolves to accommodates the needs of a 21st century lifestyle.
